Color-Change PPF

New color. Same paint underneath.

Color-Change PPF combines a custom color into a 10-mil paint protection film, giving you the visual transformation of a wrap with the rock-chip and scratch protection of standard PPF. The film is self-healing, hydrophobic, fully removable with no damage to OEM paint, and carries the same 10-year manufacturer warranty as our clear PPF. Available in satin, gloss, matte, and color-shift finishes — the cleanest way to change your color without compromising on protection or resale value.

Key benefits

  • Color + protection — one film does both
  • 10-mil urethane — self-healing like clear PPF
  • 100% reversible — OEM paint stays untouched
  • 10-year warranty — manufacturer backed
  • Real finishes — satin, gloss, matte, color-shift
  • Hydrophobic — easier to clean than vinyl

Frequently asked questions

How is color-change PPF different from a vinyl wrap?

Color-change PPF is 10-mil-thick urethane (same as clear PPF) — it physically blocks rock chips and scratches. Vinyl wrap is 4-mil and offers no impact protection. Color-change PPF also self-heals and lasts 10 years versus 5–7 for vinyl. The trade-off is cost: color PPF is roughly twice the price of a comparable vinyl wrap.

Will it damage my factory paint?

No. Color-change PPF removes cleanly with no residue and no clear coat damage — same as our clear PPF.

What colors are available?

Hundreds — satin black, satin metallic shifts, gloss colors, matte, and color-shift. We pull manufacturer swatches and hold them against your car at the consultation.

How long does install take?

Front kit: 2 days. Track Pack: 3–4 days. Full body: 5–7 days depending on vehicle complexity.

Can I do the roof, hood, and mirrors only for a two-tone look?

Absolutely. Many customers do an accent color-change PPF on roof, hood, and mirrors over base clear PPF on the rest of the car for a custom two-tone with full protection.

Does the warranty cover the color too?

Yes — 10-year warranty covers yellowing, cracking, peeling, bubbling, and fading.
