Paint Protection Film (PPF)

An invisible shield against the road.

Paint protection film (often called a clear bra) is a 10-mil self-healing urethane film that physically blocks rock chips, road debris, bug acid, and minor scratches from ever touching your factory paint. We are an XPEL Authorized Installer using XPEL Ultimate Plus and XPEL Stealth (matte) film — the same materials trusted on supercars, exotics, and lease-return vehicles where original paint matters. Patterns are computer-cut to within fractions of a millimeter, wrapped edges hidden where possible, and every install is registered to your VIN for the full 10-year manufacturer warranty.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between PPF and ceramic coating?

PPF is a 10-mil-thick urethane film that physically stops rock chips and scratches. Ceramic coating is a thin chemical layer that adds gloss and water-beading but does not stop physical damage. Most luxury and exotic owners do PPF on impact areas plus ceramic coating on top — they're complementary, not competitive.

How long does PPF last?

XPEL Ultimate Plus carries a 10-year manufacturer warranty against yellowing, peeling, cracking, and bubbling. Real-world life on properly maintained PPF is often longer.

Will PPF damage my paint when removed?

No. XPEL Ultimate Plus is engineered for clean removal with no adhesive residue and no clear coat damage. This is exactly why lease and exotic owners use it.

Is the film visible?

On gloss paint, properly installed PPF is essentially invisible from arm's-length. You may see edges if you look directly at them at certain angles. On matte paint, we use XPEL Stealth which matches the satin texture.

How long does installation take?

Front Kit: 1 day. Track Pack: 1–2 days. Full body: 4–7 days depending on vehicle complexity. We provide a precise duration with your quote.

Are you really an XPEL Authorized Installer?

Yes — fully authorized for both PPF and window film. This means warranty registration to your VIN, factory training, and access to the latest pattern database.

Can PPF be installed over a vehicle wrap?

We don't recommend it. The film bonds best to original paint or freshly cured custom paint. If you want a color change with protection, we use Color-Change PPF instead.

Does PPF self-heal?

Yes — light surface scratches and swirl marks heal with sun exposure or warm water. Deep scratches that go through the film will not heal but won't reach your paint either.
